Stephen Greenblatt

Stephen Greenblatt is the Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University and a founder of the critical movement known as new historicism. A leading scholar of Shakespeare and the English Renaissance, he is general editor of The Norton Shakespeare and The Norton Anthology of English Literature. His book The Swerve won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and the National Book Award.
