Miranda Fricker is a British philosopher and the Julius Silver Professor of Philosophy at New York University, where she co-directs the New York Institute of Philosophy. She is best known for originating the concept of epistemic injustice — the idea that people can be wronged specifically in their capacity as knowers. She is a Fellow of the British Academy and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
