Mark Edmundson

Mark Edmundson is University Professor and Professor of English at the University of Virginia, specializing in Romanticism and nineteenth-century English and American literature. A Guggenheim Fellow and longtime contributor to Harper's and The American Scholar, he has written more than a dozen books of literary and cultural criticism on reading, teaching, Freud, football, and the democratic imagination.
