Jay Cummings

Jay Cummings is a professor of mathematics at California State University, Sacramento, who earned his PhD at UC San Diego under the legendary combinatorialist Ron Graham. He is the author of the self-published Long-Form Math Textbook Series — deliberately affordable, conversational textbooks on proofs, real analysis, and the history of mathematics that favor motivation and explanation over the terse definition-theorem-proof style, and have become favorites of students and self-learners.
